Hello, I am an Electrical Engineer with a deep passion for making power systems more resilient and sustainable, leveraging AI and deep learning for optimization, control, and decision-making in uncertainty. My mission is to mitigate the challenges that arise during the integration of renewable energy sources into the grid, particularly in power systems with high renewable penetration and low inertia. Projects

Virtual Oscillator Control for Inverters (Apr. 2023 – Mar. 2024)
- Designed a VOC control system for a three-phase inverter and operated multiple of them in parallel.
- Analyzed the behaviors of a VOC (GFM) and PV (GFL) connected microgrid.
- Compared the performance of the VOC-integrated microgrid against conventional droop control.

Forecasting Losses in Magnetic Materials (Apr. 2023 – Dec. 2024)
- Completed as part of IEEE PELS-Google-Enphase-Princeton MagNet Challenge 2023.
- Prediction of loss based on magnetic field, temperature, and frequency of operation. Used LSTM to train the model in the frequency domain.

Fabrication of Low-Cost LaApSi Model (Sep. 2023 – Dec. 2023)
- Successfully created and produced a cost-effective laparoscopic appendicectomy simulation model designed specifically for surgical trainees in low and middle-income countries (LMICs).

Autonomous Driving Vehicle (Aug. 2022 – Mar. 2023)
- Demonstrated an operational prototype of a self-driving RC car using ANN, CNN, and LSTM architectures for model training, with an article published in a national journal.

Associate Electrical Engineer (Nov. 2024 – Present)
K&A Engineering Consultancy P.C., Lalitpur, Nepal
- Working on upgrades and system hardening for the distribution design of the power grid in the California region.
- Assessing the loading capacity of different poles in the CA region using O-Calc and designing upgrades along with estimation

- Analyzing the power quality of distribution networks in response to the increased usage of induction cookers, funded by Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST).
- Organized the “Renewable Energy Symposium: Today and Tomorrow” featuring speakers from Nepal Electricity Authority, Alternative Energy Promotion Centre, USAID, and Professors from the Institute of Engineering.

- Managed and directed a highly successful TEDx IOE Pulchowk event featuring 11 live talks, 3 performances, 100 attendees, and over 50 partners, gaining extensive experience in micromanagement, teamwork, and leadership.

Energy Hackathon, Lalitpur, Nepal
- Organized and managed the largest week-long Energy Hackathon in Nepal sponsored by GIZ Nepal, mentoring over 20 undergraduate teams to foster creativity and problem-solving in the energy and power sector.

- Introduced and successfully conducted the first PCB Design workshop on campus with over 145 participants, contributed to 2 projects, mentored 5+ hardware projects at LOCUS 2023 Exhibition
