IEEE PESGM 2026 in Montreal, Canada
Published:
IEEE PESGM 2026 was the first international conference I have ever attended. It is the flagship conference of IEEE and one of the largest conferences in the power and energy field. This year, it had more than 3,000 participants. I had both a presentation and a poster session, and it was a great experience to share my research and interests while receiving valuable feedback from some of the leading experts in the field.

The conference brought together people from across the power and energy sector, from academia to industry. I was especially excited to meet professors whose names I had seen in research papers and on LinkedIn. The world felt so much smaller during the conference because I could see so many inspiring researchers in the same building. I was fortunate to speak with some of them and take a few pictures together.

Beyond the research and professional activities, the conference was also a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with old friends and explore new places. During my trip, I visited Quebec City and explored Montreal, making the experience even more memorable.
